Privacy Policy

This privacy policy covers ShopfrontStack and is effective as of October 9, 2026. The honest summary: this is a static website that reviews software. There are no accounts, no advertising trackers, and no data we're trying to accumulate.

What we collect

If you write to us directly, we receive what you send — typically a name, an email address, and your message — and we use it only to reply. There is no email list and nothing on this site to sign up with, so no address is stored for one. A newsletter box used to sit at the foot of these pages; it was never connected to anything, so it sent nothing and kept nothing, and it has been removed. We don't sell, rent, or share it with anyone.

Cookies, analytics, and logs

Our hosting infrastructure keeps standard server logs — IP address, pages requested, timestamps — for security and uptime, retained briefly and not used to profile anyone. Cloudflare, which serves the site, also counts page views with its cookieless Web Analytics.

We also use Google Analytics 4, provided by Google LLC (Google Ireland Ltd. for European visitors), to see which pages earn their shelf space. It records pages viewed, the referring site, approximate city and country, device and browser type, and session timing. It neither logs nor stores IP addresses. Advertising features, Google signals and ad personalisation are turned off; the data is not used for advertising and is never sold. GA4 sets two first-party cookies, _ga and _ga_<ID>, which last up to two years, are set only after analytics is allowed, and are deleted if you decline later.

If your device's time zone is in Europe — the EEA, the UK or Switzerland — a banner asks before Google Analytics loads, and nothing goes to Google unless you accept. Elsewhere analytics is on by default and you can switch it off any time. Global Privacy Control is treated as an opt-out. Your choice stays in local storage as analytics-consent, not in a cookie, and cookie settings reopens the banner. Links that start with /go/ take you to a website builder's own site. Once you leave ShopfrontStack, that builder's own privacy policy applies, and its own cookies may be set in your browser — we don't see what you do there.

Email [email protected] to ask what we hold about you — usually nothing, or one email thread — or to have it deleted. If this policy changes, the effective date above changes with it.
